SEIBU Shibuya takes great pleasure in hosting a solo exhibition by a fashion designer Tamae Hirokawa.
Since its launch in 2006, her label SOMARTA has quickly become one of the most-talked-about brands and has been attracting attention of the press all over the world.
The brand's infamous body wear series “Skin” is made of seamless knitwear with elaborate embroideries and crystal decorations. The range is designed under the concept of "the possibilities of body wear” emphasizing the minimalistic beauty of clothing and suggest a metaphoric expression of the “Second Skin”.
The exhibition features selected pieces from her past and the latest collections, focusing on the designer's lifelong design theme; “Body".
